Did I mention how much I like giant clams? They make great photography subjects as they don’t move (!), only shutting slightly if your shadow passes over them. Giant clams are unique in that every individual has its own colour patterns – like human finger prints.
These are my two favourite photos I’ve taken of giant clams – I especially like photos that look a bit surreal and where you are not sure straight away what the photo is actually of. I find these photos show the little magical worlds that exist on a clam shell.
