Ciao! I’ve been working on a new set of art prints inspired by marine life and summer in Italy.
I first painted the blue crab (granchio blu) in acrylic paint and really loved how it looked, there is something about acrylic paint and seeing the brush marks and thickness of the paint, it looks so tactile and creates movement in a piece. I thought it was the perfect medium to create a collection of seafood artworks, to highlight the shapes and textures of the sea creatures.

My goal was to create a set of art prints that are visually appealing, colourful and fun, and bring some Euro summer vibes into your home.

I wanted to combine my love of undersea creatures with my partner Marco’s passion for cooking – he is Italian and good food and respecting what you eat are very high priority in his culture. When we visit the family, 90% of the discussion around the table is the food, the other 10% is the wine!

After painting the blue crab, Marco helped me decide what other seafood to paint and most importantly he told me what the Italian names were (as Google translate was wrong half the time!).

I am really pleased with all the art prints in this collection, but my favourite piece is Cozze (aka mussels).
I experienced so much joy painting Cozze – the colours just clicked and I love the depth and shapes of the finished artwork.

After completing the art works, I ordered test prints in three different sizes. The quality is amazing, I am very fussy about colour reproduction and it is spot on – plus the art paper is nice and thick and will last a very very long time!

The print sizes are:
- A4 – smallest size and perfect for a pop of colour
- 30x40cm – mid size and great as an all-round artwork, it’s not overwhelming but large enough to make a statement
- 50x70cm – largest size – this is the WOW size, it really stands out and what I love most is all the detail you can see with the paint strokes and brush marks, I love it!
These art prints are now available in my Etsy shop – and for the next 48 hours are 25% off woo!! This includes free worldwide shipping!
I’d love to know which one is your favourite?

I'd love to know what you think!
