I’m beyond excited that my surface pattern design ‘Shelley Beach’ has been licensed by the wonderful Tribe Tropical for a range of sunsafe swimwear.
Tribe Tropical founder Emily has had first-hand experience of skin cancer which inspired her to start her brand of beautiful, tropical-inspired sunsafe swimwear. I have been a big fan of the business for a long time, and love that it encourages sun safety.
As someone who has also experienced skin cancer (one melanoma and two BCCs) I am passionate about protecting your skin from the sun and one of the reasons I create pattern designs for swimwear is the desire that the designs will be licensed by sunsafe swimwear brands, and that people love the artwork and so will want to wear sunsafe clothing!
So you can understand why I am so happy to see my design ‘Shelly Beach’ on swimwear with Tribe Tropical. There is a range of swimwear options for babies, toddlers, young girls, teenagers and women.
The design really looks beautiful and my daughter wears her hat and rash shirt pretty much every time we go near water – the quality is fantastic and we have had a lot of comments about the hat especially as it is a great design for kids.
The pattern design was created a couple of years ago as part of a collection of shell inspired pattern designs – it is a personal favourite of mine as I love the colours and dreaminess of the watercolour background and the mermaid vibes from the sparkly shells!
You can see the full range at Tribe Tropical’s website – enjoy ✨
