The Human Element

One thing I have always struggled with is taking photos of people who I don’t know. I have this idea that, somehow, getting a photo of someone without them realising is an invasion of privacy – having their image committed to a kind of permanency that they may not appreciate.

Winter Waves

The sea is fabulous in winter here in Queensland – often crystal clear and flat.  Here are some photos from the recent winter months taken at the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast. I was experimenting with slow shutter speeds and panning in the second image – I’d like to try
