Exciting news! I’m very happy to be supporting Coolum & North Shore Coast Care by donating 10% of Girl and the Deep Blue Sea yearly profits!
Coolum & North Shore Coast Care are a not-for-profit volunteer group that work along a stretch of coastline on the Sunshine Coast.
I have chosen to support them for a number of reasons:
- the area of coast where they work includes the beach where I grew up so I feel personally connected to this part of the world
- they do an amazing variety of work, from tree planting, weed removal, rubbish collection, turtle monitoring, and also run a native plant nursery
- they are very involved in community education which is so important
- they are incredibly focussed at achieving environmental outcomes – having worked in this industry myself I really am excited by a group that actually gets stuff done and doesn’t just talk about it 🙂
I’m very proud that through my business I can now contribute to helping the beautiful coastal environment of the Sunshine Coast! This is just one of the actions I am taking to make my business as ethical and environmentally-friendly as possible.
